Alex

Hello,

My name is Alex and I live on a small holding near Manjimup,  with my husband.

Our four children have left home.

I am from a farming background and my hobbies include travelling, gardening, walking, cooking and country life.

I have studied Enrolled Nursing, worked as a Patient Care Assistant and a theatre orderly in a hospital, as a support worker and later as coordinator for a disability service provider and as a family support worker for the Department of Child Protection.

I have worked in remote areas in Northern Australia and I have also travelled overseas, working on the land. I enjoy meeting new people, travelling to new places and helping others to get the best out of their day.

Working for Country Mile Home Care gives me the opportunity to combine all my life skills to help others.

I look forward to meeting you!

Jenni

Hi,
My name is Jenni.
I live in Bunbury after raising my two boys for 18 years in Donnybrook.   I am also a grandmother to two adorable fur babies.
I love pets, country life, reading, volunteering, the great outdoors, travelling, paddling my kayak and of course my beautiful family, and friends some of whom are in their 70’s and 80’s.
After caring for both my parents in their latter years I felt a strong desire to work full time in a caring role.  Thanks to Ann and Country Mile Home Care I have a job that I love.  No day is ever the same! I meet lovely people and I can really help them.  It is so rewarding.

I look forward to meeting and helping you.

Jenni

Lyn

Hello

My name is Lyn and I have been living in Narrogin with my husband for the past 41 years.  We have 2 sons and 4 grandchildren.

In the first 23 years of living in Narrogin I helped work and manage the family farm until I opened a patchwork shop in town.   After selling the shop I found work in the aged care industry where I have spent the past 7 and a half years helping others.  During that time I have obtained my Certificate 3 and 4 in Aged Care.

My hobbies include gardening, patchwork and cooking.

As I have been living and working in a country town for many years I have seen that there are many people that could benefit from my help and support.  Now Country Mile Home Care have provided me the opportunity to do just that.

I am looking forward to meeting and seeing how I can help you.

Ngalima

Jambo!  That’s how we say Hello in Swahili

My name is Ngalima.  From as young as I can remember I have always been a helper with a caring nature. Having a mother diagnosed with gestational diabetes during her last pregnancy, I grew up helping her by pricking her finger to test for sugar levels.  This illness in the family helped me find my purpose in life and a successful career in nursing.

I moved from Perth to the beautiful country side of Albany in 2017.  During this time I completed my training at the South Regional TAFE whilst volunteering at the Albany Community Hospice.  I worked there for 9 months preparing meals for clients with palliative care needs and their families.  I have 3 years of extensive experience from working with the elderly to people supported by NDIS. I intend on continuing my studies and expanding my knowledge as you’re never too old to learn.

I always get immense satisfaction from helping others and thanks to Ann and this great opportunity at Country Mile Care I am able to be my authentic self and do what I love doing the most.

Thanks Ngalima
